UOW researchers win ASCILITE awards for road safety package

“… The package won the ASCILITE award for 'exemplary application of ICT to teaching and learning in tertiary education' for appropriateness to target audience, learning design, creativity and innovation, impact on teaching practice and learning outcomes and overall quality.”

Road safety package a hit with high school students

“Lots of fun”. “Like a computer game but cooler”. “Really makes you think”.
This was some of the feedback from a group of Year 7 Corrimal High students who used the first comprehensive road safety education resource for this age-group in NSW developed by the University of Wollongong's emlab (educational media laboratory) for the Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA).
