CALL FOR PAPERS

 LNL-GRN 2009 Annual Conference

 

The Learning and the Learner Global Research Network (LNL_GRN) with the Faculty of Education, University of Wollongong, invites you to participate as part of its annual workshop on 14th -15th April 2009 at the University of Wollongong. The title for this year’s workshop is:

‘Ability and Opportunity: Challenges for Learning and the Learner’

Themes and issues that will be addressed in the workshop include:

• What are the issues for social inclusion in education?
• How might teaching and learning be reformed to meet the needs of gifted students?
• What are the challenges in teaching learning for teaching students with special needs?
• How might national curriculum influence the nature of teaching and learning?
• What does international and national literacy testing mean for teaching and learning?
• What are new theories and approaches to learning emerging in contemporary times?
• How are physical and mental health issues for teaching and learning?
• What approaches will emerge in Indigenous education in the post Howard era?
• Who will  be the teacher of the future and what will they do?
• What are the language learning issues emerging from closer regional ties?
• Other questions are welcome

LNL-GRN 2009 is an opportunity to share ideas with peers and leaders in the field. This is also an opportunity to explore avenues for the expansion of the Learning and the Learner Global Research Network (LNL-GRN)to form a network that includes global partnerships. The workshop will take place over two days at the University of Wollongong, and there will be the option to publish papers as part of a subsequent conference proceedings publication.
