Acknowledgements

This is the fifth edition of Dive In for students entering the Faculty of Education in 2009. It has resulted from the collaborative efforts of students and staff in the Faculty of Education as well as many others across the University community – in particular, the contributions of Sub Deans in the Faculties of Creative Arts (David Vance) and Science (Ted Bryant) are greatly appreciated. Thanks go to all who have supported this project so generously.

Thanks are also due to the following people: Pauline Lysaght (Sub Dean Education) for overseeing the project; Russell Walton (Education) for co-ordinating the first two editions of Dive In and Timothy Crawford (Education) who managed the project in 2007; Sam Hardaker in the Faculty of Education's Student Services Centre for his patience and hard work with the fourth edition; Madeleine Cairns, a student in the B Primary Education for organising and updating the current version; students who continue to provide invaluable feedback through the Student Forum; Rob Wright and his wonderful team at emlab, for their production expertise and commitment to the project; Tourism Wollongong; and the various other students and staff of the University of Wollongong who contributed to the resource in so many ways.
