Student Equity and Diversity Liaison Officers SEDLO) are members of the University's Student Services team. They offer support to students in each faculty. Kerry Banks is the SEDLO for the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Creative Arts. She is situated in Building 23 Room G17. Kerry provides information, referral and liaison support for Education students and works on programs addressing student equity and diversity issues. She can help with issues such as:
- Welfare problems (International and Domestic students).
- Liaising with/for the University's Disability Service.
- Liaison and referral to services such as Counselling, Accommodation, Learning Development and the Careers Service.
- $500 EdStart UOW Grants for low income students.
- Transition programs for international students.
- Liaison with the Academic Registrar's Division and other areas of the University about issues such as fees, compliance and international student issues.
- Referral and liaison with external agencies, eg. health, welfare, financial assistance.
- As an emergency point of contact for students involved in critical incidents or at risk of harm.
- Provision of equity information.
