Beyond the bridge

An exciting program that is offered in your third year is the chance to complete your practice teaching placement in a school in western or south-western Sydney (Blacktown, Campbelltown, Mt Druitt, Liverpool and Fairfield).

The 'Beyond the Bridge' experience is beneficial in that it provides the chance to secure professional teaching experience in a geographic area that has regular employment opportunities. This program is generally for third-year students, however, your first-year teaching placement may fit into this criteria also. Speak to your practicum supervisor for more information.
